Descripción:
The C-47 was hit by anti-aircraft cannon located near the shipyards. It crashed near the Saint-Martin church of Colombelles, France.
The airplane was operated by the No. 46 Group of the Royal Air Force Transport Command, carrying a stick of paratroopers of the 8th Battalion Parachute Regiment during the invasion of Normandy during World War 2.
