Reynolds (NMI) Calvert, 2nd Lt, S/N 0-806211, DOB 09 Mar 1916, NM COD #4571
Second Lieutenant Calvert served with the
400th Bomb Group, 608th Bomb Squadron at
Alamogordo Army Air Base.
Lt. Calvert was killed while piloting B-24D
Liberator #42-72867, apparently staying at
the controls until his crew could bail out
of the crippled bomber. He crashed ten miles
north of the Alamogordo airfield, New Mexico.
