Pilot ejected from the Hunter after an engine failure. The jet crashed to the ground and exploded. The pilot landed with moderate injuries.

We have recently been contacted regarding a new historic ejection that took place on 21st July 1987 from a Swiss Hawker Hunter F.58A. After experiencing repeat engine failures, the pilot successfully ejected using the Martin-Baker Mk3H Seat.
