Narrative:
The aircraft took off from Comandante Rolim Adolfo Amaro Aerodrome (SBJD), Jundiaí, SP, at 20:00 UTC to perform a local flight over the city of Itu, SP, with one pilot and one passenger on board.
On the way back, leveled off at 4,000 ft, the pilot observed a drop in the fuel flow indication. He initiated the emergency procedure provided for in the aircraft manual, and then the engine shut down in flight.
The pilot activated the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS) and the aircraft landed in a pasture area at Fazenda Cajuru, Itu, SP.
The aircraft had minor damage. The pilot and passenger were unharmed.

The presence of a foreign material prevented the normal flow of fuel for the correct operation of the powerplant, causing the engine failure of PP-CIE.
It was not possible to determine when the fragment entered the aircraft fuel system, and the most likely hypothesis is that it is a contaminant residue introduced during a maintenance procedure.
