Narrative:
Vickers Wellesley Mk.1 L2655, 14 Sqaudropn, RAF: Written off (destroyed) 13/2/39 when flew into hill in cloud, 3 miles South of Wadi Sir, near Amman, Transjordan. All three crew killed:

Pilot Off Lawrence Selby Bullwinkle (pilot, aged 22) killed
Sgt Charles James Chick killed
LAC Desmond James Segrave (aged 22) killed

According to the official Air Ministry announcement in "Flight" magazine (February 23, 1939 page 186 - see link #4):

"FLYING ACCIDENTS
THE Air Ministry regrets to report the following accidents: —
P/O Lawrence Selby Bullwinkle (pilot), Sgt.' Charles James Chick and L/AC Desmond James Segrave lost their lives in an accident which occurred between Amman and Lydda on February 13 to an aircraft of No. 14 (Bomber) Squadron, Amman, Trans-Jordan."
