A Hughes 369D (Model 500D) helicopter crashed into a vineyard close to the Mosel river. The fuselage came to rest on its left side. The tailbom seperaded entirely behind the main fuselage. No fire erupted. Both occopants escapted the wreck by them selves. The 50 year old PIC suffers from severe injuries, while his 30 year old companion got slightly hurt.
The engine had lost power as a result of fuel shortage.
