7 December 1940: Handley Page Hampden Mk.I P4292, RAF Upper Heyford. Destroyed when crashed at Little Chesterton, Northamptonshire. All five crew were killed:

Age 23, the son of Richard J and Emily Coad of Plymouth and the husband of Cicelie F Coad of Newport, Monmouthshire.

He was the son of Mrs S Beck of St Leonards.

Age 19 and the son of Robert and Emma Hadfield of Bolton.
He is buried in Sec A Grave 811 in the churchyard of St Peter’s Church, Halliwell
Sergeant (Wireless Operator) George Arnold BINKS RAFVR No. 943809
Age 23 and the son of George Arthur and Eleanor Binks of Linthwaite, Yorkshire.
He is buried in Sec B Grave 193 in the churchyard of Christ Church, Linthwaite
