Narrative:
Took off from RAF Coningsby at 21:07 hrs for a bombing operation against Braunschweig in Niedersachsen.
The aircraft was shot down by night fighter pilot Leutnant Josef Förster of the 8./NJG 2, who had taken off from Volkel airfield (the Netherlands) in Ju 88 G-6 4R+OS; crashed 00:00 hrs at Hodenhagen, 12 km south of Walsrode. Those who lost their lives now rest in Becklingen War Cemetery.
