Narrative:
c/no 1269 DH.60G Moth [Gipsy I engine#1139] delivered to Prince Jean Ghica, Romania with C of A 2635 issued 4.7.30. Registered as CV-TUR. Owner departed on delivery ex-Bicester 9.7.30 on a non-stop record flight attempt to Constantinople (now named Istanbul), Turkey but crashed at Teteven, Lovech Province, Bulgaria 10.7.30. While flying in the Region of Teteven, Lovech Province he was forced to make an emergency landing for unknown reason. While the aircraft was damaged beyond repair, the pilot was slightly injured.

NOTES:
1) There were TWO DH60G Gipsy Moths registered CV-TUR. C/no 1269 (above) was the first. It was replaced by another, Gipsy Moth c/no 1805 with the same registration (CV-TUR the 2nd)
2) Teteven is a town on the banks of the Vit River, at the foot of Stara Planina Mountain in north central Bulgaria. It is the administrative centre of the homonymous Teteven Municipality which is a part of Lovech Province.
