В сентябре 1949 года самолёт санитарной авиации По-2Л вылетел на железнодорожную аварию, в районe происшествия врезался в водонапорную башню. Погибли пилот Иван Александрович Дерябин, бортхирург Надежда Николаевна Попова, операционная сестра Федорова Августа Петровна.
