Narrative:Hawk T.1 XX338 made an emergency landing at Cardiff Airport, South Glamorgan, at 12:21 on 29 July 2013 after suffering a bird strike which made a hole through the starboard wing. The crew of XX338 were recovered to RAF St Athan at 14:30 by two other Hawks, XX218 and XX317.
XX338 finally left Cardiff airport 12 September 2013 (14:40), by road. By 14 September 2013, the aircraft was in long term storage at Shawbury awaiting a decision on repair
