On Friday 29th April 2005 at 3:30pm local time, a Vietnamese Air Force L-39 training aircraft, serial '910 of the Vietnam Air Force Academy, Nha Trang crashed due to engine failure intp the sea near Hon Tre island in central Vietnam

One pilot ejected - slightly injured: Other pilot - a Lt. Col. - did not eject and was killed. His body was later recovered
