Narrative:
The CF-100, operated by 423 AW(F) Squadron, had taken off from St. Hubert on an acceptance flight. Shortly after take off, the aircraft lost altitude and crashed into two homes in Ville Jacques Cartier (now part of Longueuil), a southern suburb of Montreal, Québec. The crew of two were killed and seven on the ground also died including three children in one house and two adults and 2 children in a second house.
