Narrative:
de Havilland DH.82A Tiger Moth MSN 86631; Taken on charge as PG745 notionally at 15 MU RAF Wroughton, Wiltshire 24.7.44. However placed into long-term storage locally in ‘purgatory’ in the Oxfordshire area; returned to Morris Motors, Cowley, Oxfordshire for erection [undated, but probably June 1945]. To 38 MU RAF Llandow, Glamorgan 29.6.45. To RAF Pershore, Worcestershire 20.7.46 and ferried to Royal Netherlands AF 24.7.46.

Taken on charge by the Royal Netherlands Air Force (KLu) as A-5 at Woensdrecht, Netherlands. To Fokker for major inspection 31.3.48; returned to Klu Woensdrecht 25.6.48. To Fokker for major inspection 2.9.49; returned to Klu Woensdrecht 28.10.49. To CLO at Ypenburg 15.11.49-7.12.49. To Klu Depot 25.3.53. To T Squadron, DVVM-2 Gilze-Rijen 8.2.55 for storage/disposal. Sold 15.9.55 by Domeinen. Struck off charge 13.1.56.

West German Registration D-EDYL allotted 13.9.55 to E Schumacher, Kempen; ferry permit issued 19.10.55 for delivery from Breda, Netherlands to Monchengladbach, West Germany. Re-registered 4.7.56 to Fa. Gebr.Hengsbach, t/a Dortmunder Luftfahrtgesellschaft, Dortmund.

Crashed on take-off during a glider towing sortie, while towing Schleicher K-11B glider D-5457 at Dortmund Airport, Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia, West Germany 3.10.56. Registration D-EDYL cancelled 14.10.56.
