de Havilland DH.82A Tiger Moth MSN 84841: Taken on charge as T6500 at 15 EFTS RAF Carlisle 25.7.41 coded "36", later "50". To 16 [P] FTS RAF Newton, Nottinghamshire 31.7.46. To 3 EFTS RAF Shellingford 12.12.46, for use of Southampton UAS, Eastleigh. To 8 EFTS RAF Woodley, Reading. Berkshire 1.6.47; continued in service with Southampton UAS. To 8 RFS RAF Woodley, Reading, Berkshire 12.6.47; still operated by Southampton UAS coded “RUZ-C”. To 14 RFS RAF Hamble, Hampshire 6.10.47; initially continued in service with Southampton UAS but subsequently with 14 RFS coded “RCL-O”. To 2 Grading School, RAF Digby, Scopwick, Lincolnshire 25.1.51; renamed Airwork Grading Unit 15.1.52; renamed 1 Grading Unit 9.6.52. To 10 MU RAF Hullavington, Wiltshire 20.2.53 for storage pending disposal. Struck off charge when sold 12.10.53 to Association of British Aero Clubs.

Civil registered as G-ANDO (C of R R4137/1) on 22.9.53 to The Wiltshire School of Flying Ltd, Thruxton, Andver, Hampshire. C of A issued 22.1.54. Registration G-ANDO cancelled 1.12.54 as sold (to AVI Enterprises Ltd) and on 8.3.55 regsitration cancelled as "subsequently registered in USA".

Re-registered N9921F 29.3.55 but Not Taken Up (US registration cancelled by FAA 22.6.55); was registered to Rickard Robert Stuart of Alliance, Ohio. Probably never delivered.

Delivered to Aero Exploration, Frankfurt, West Germany 27.8.55 [in crate]. Re-registered in Germany as D-EBIC 30.9.55 (reserved 5.7.55) to Aero Exploration KG, Egelsbach. Re-registered 1.4.57 to Theodor Albers, t/a Luftwerbedienst Rhein-Ruhr, Hamm.

Badly damaged in forced landing Altenrhein 16.7.58; repaired and returned to service.

Written off (damaged beyond repair) when crashed whilst attempting to pick up banner at Flugplatz Peine-Glindbruchkippe, Lower Saxony, West Germany 21.7.59; registration cancelled 22.7.59.

The Peine-Glindbruchkippe airfield is a German airfield in Peine in southeast Lower Saxony . It has been approved as a special airfield since 2016 and bears the ICAO code EDVP. The course is located on a 15 metre high artificial plateau that was created from excavated soil during the construction of the Mittelland Canal .
