Narrative:The pilot of a tailwheel-equipped airplane reported that during the landing roll, the airplane veered to the right and he applied left rudder to stop the veer. Subsequently, the airplane continued to the right, ground looped, and the left wing impacted the runway.
The left aileron sustained substantial damage.
The pilot reported no preaccident mechanical malfunctions or failures with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.
Probable Cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control during the landing roll.
