Delta Air Lines' flight DAL/DL588 from Shanghai/Pudong to Seattle/Tacoma, operated by a Boeing 767-332ER, diverted to Tokyo/Narita International Airport (NRT/RJAA), Japan, due to possible fuel leak from the right wing during flying over Kochi at FL310. The flight crew declared an emergency, and the plane made a safe landing on runway 34L of Narita at ca. 16:30 LT. No personal injuries were reported. The runway 34L was closed for three minutes.
