Airco DH4 D8393: Written off (destroyed) 31/3/21 when crashed after engine failure on test flight, Biggin Hill, Bromley, Kent. Both persons on board were killed:

Flying Officer Noel Butler Hemsley MBE (aged 28) killed
Edward Fenton Terry (aged 28) killed

They left Biggin Hill in a DH.4 on a navigation test but at 600 feet the engine cut; pilot dived to restart engine and succeeded, but it failed again and the aircraft hit the ground at Bromley, in the foot of the valley at Biggin Hill. Hemsley appears to have died almost at once; Fenton-Terry died in the evening.
