Narrative:("BU-X" of 214 Sqn) Airborne 21:50 on 27 Sep 40 for mission to Mannheim. Last heard on W/T at 04:33 28 Sep 40 sending distress signals. According to one source: "While approaching Belgian coast and overflying North Sea, crew sent a short mayday message. Aircraft crashed into the sea shortly thereafter. Three crew were rescued as three others were killed."
