Handley Page Ha mpden Mk.I P2135 (EA-H) of 49 Squadron, RAF. Written off (destroyed) 29/9/1940 when the aircraft was on a cross-country flight when it lost height in a turn and hit high ground at Haigh, near Wakefield, West Yorkshire (at approximate co ordinates 53.602°N 1.558°W)

Haigh is a small village which located both in South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire, England. Historically within the West Riding of Yorkshire, it lies half in the Wakefield district and half in the Barnsley district. It is believed that Hampden P2134 crashed in the "Wakefield side" of the village
