Narrative:
An ultra-light (Cosmos Phase II), Registration C-IFEI, crashed on the grounds of a private residence at St-Mathias-sur-le-Richelieu. The two persons on board died. Only information available for the moment.UPDATE: The registration has been changed to C-IFEK. The TSB investigation (A99Q0134) revealed that the Cosmos instructor pilot was conducting low-altitude manoeuvres on familiarization flights. The aircraft suddenly struck the ground at an angle of nearly 60 degrees. The two occupants died. The aircraft was destroyed. Un ultra-léger (Cosmos Phase II), immatriculé C-IFEI, s'est écrasé sur le terrain d'une résidence privée à St-Mathias-sur-le-Richelieu. Les deux personnes à bord sont décédées. Seule information disponible pour le moment.MISE Ãu20AC JOUR: L'immatriculation a été changée pour C-IFEK. L'enquête du BST (#A99Q0134) a révélé que le pilote-instructeur du Cosmos effectuait des manoeuvres à basse altitude, lors de vols de familiarisation. Soudainement, l'appareil a heurté le sol avec un angle d'impact de près de 60 degrés. Les deux occupants sont décédés. L'appareil a été détruit.
