Narrative:The pilot reported that, during landing, the airplane bounced. He initiated a go-around, but the airplane veered left, exited the runway, and impacted trees. The airplane sustained substantial damage to the lower fuselage. The pilot reported that there were no preaccident mechanical failures or malfunctions with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.
Probable Cause: The pilot's improper landing flare, which resulted in a bounced landing, and his subsequent loss of directional control while attempting a go-around, which resulted in a runway excursion and impact with trees.
