Narrative:
Following an unspecified mechanical issue, the aircraft struck powerlines and impacted terrain during the attempted emergency landing in Miramar, Florida.
The airplane was destroyed during the accident sequence and the trainee pilot received fatal injures, the flight instructor onboard was seriously injured.
A third person was injured by debris and was treated at the scene.

The last recorded ADS-B data was logged at 8:58:03am, above the traffic lights at the west side of the intersection of Pembroke Road and Hiatus Road. Two seconds later, according to dashcam footage, the aircraft clipped power lines above the east side of the intersection. The aircraft then lost control, swerved right, and crashed into a tree on the street corner outside the Chase Bank about 110 metres away.
