An experimental Thatcher CX4, amateur built by David Reser, experienced a bounce on landing and a subsequent runway excursion during a landing attempt at Cable Airport (CCB/KCCB), Upland, California. The propeller had separated prior to the accident and the windscreen was covered in oil, limiting the pilot's visibility during the subsequent emergency landing.
The airplane sustained substantial damage and the sole pilot onboard received minor injuries.
