On landing at Borkum airfield, the Cessna T210N Turbo Centurion II took off again after initial contact with the runway and then fell over the right wing.
It crashed to the ground in the adjacent grassy area next to the runway and a fire started on the aircraft.
The pilot sustained serious burning injuries and was airlifted to hospital by Airbus H135 PH-DOC "Lifeliner 4".
