Following a loss of engine power shortly after takeoff from Hummel Field Airport (W75), Saluda, Virginia, the aircraft clipped powerlines and impacted the terrain south of the airfield during the ensuing forced landing. The triplane came to rest partially inverted, sustaining substantial damage, and the sole pilot onboard was not injured.
