Narrative:
After three hours of IFR flight, the pilot, who owned the airfield, flew a left-hand visual circuit for runway 26 at 600 feet. After turning on final approach the right side of the airframe and the wing root hit the top of a tree located 80 meters from the threshold and 30 meters right of the runway centerline.
The aircraft hit the ground hard and slid on the grass parallel to the runway.
The pilot indicated that in order to avoid flying over a grove of trees located to the left of the runway threshold, he used to fly final on a heading of 245° / 250° and to the right of the centerline. He added that on the day of the accident, when he hit the trees, he had lost sight of the runway, his speed was low and the attitude was too nose up. He felt that his reaction was a little late, probably due to weekend fatigue.
