Narrative:Republic F-84B-3-RE Thunderjet 45-59522, 125th FBS, 137th FBG, Oklahoma ANG, USAF: Substantially damaged November 14 1950 when crashed on take-off from Tulsa International Airport, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Pilot Whitcomb O Jones USAF. Repaired and returned to service, as damaged again on January 24 1952 in an accident 25 miles South of Sentinel, Arizona (see separate entry). Damaged airframe Transferred to NACA (later NASA) for tests in 1954
