Crashed and caught fire just west of the runway. Both AFRC instructor pilots Capt Judson Brinson and Capt Lee Moore were killed. Pilot error was determinated. Aircraft deviated from normal flight limits by exeeding the maximum bank angle of 90° and allowed the airspeed to fall below the minimum speed of 140kts (260km/h). This combination caused the aircraft to roll and stall. No attempts was made to recover and the altitude was too low for a safe ejection.
