Narrative:
"General Machado" ditched into Gulf of Mexico after getting lost and running out of fuel due to bad weather. Occupants rescued by steamer "Liogonier".

Note: originally built as a Fokker/Atlantic F.VIIa/3m for Colonial Air Transport, but not accepted. Refurbished to a "C-2 Tri-motor" and sold to Pan American on 19 AUG 27.
