Aviacon Zitotrans flight 6503, an Ilyushin Il-76TD cargo plane, suffered an engine failure after takeoff from Châteauroux, France.
No.4 engine power dropped back to idle and the thrust could not be changed using the throttle. The flight crew shut down the engine and proceeded to enter a holding pattern at FL160 before making a safe landing back at Châteauroux Airport about 2 hours and 15 minutes later.
