"AEROPLANE DISABLED NEAR ORROROO
Slight Injuries to Pilot and Passenger
Dr. C. C. Jungfer, of Tweedvale, and Pilot J. Jukes suffered minor injuries when an aeroplane in which they were travelling crashed near Orroroo yesterday.

The former was on his way to attend a woman seriously ill at Alice Springs. Dr. Jungfer received an urgent summons from Alice Springs, where Mrs. Eileen Kilgariff, wife of Mr. Joseph Kilgariff, of Alice Springs, was in a critical condition suffering from blood poisoning.

On its mission of mercy, the aeroplane, flown by Pilot J. Jukes, and with Dr. C.C. Jungfer as passenger, left Parafield at dawn yesterday. The machine encountered a dense fog. Flying blind, it crashed into the side of a hill 23 miles north of Orroroo. It was badly damaged, but the passengers escaped with -minor injuries and severe shaking.

Another aeroplane was engaged, and an appeal was made by wireless for a doctor and a pilot to take the places of Dr. Junafer and Pilot Jukes.

This was promptly answered by Dr. W. J. R. Mabin, of Hawker, and Capt. Jaques. The machine left for Alice Springs early this morning by way of Marree and Godnadatta. It is expected at Alice Springs at. 3 o'clock this afternoon".

Johnburgh is a former town and a locality in the Australian state of South Australia located on the eastern side of the Flinders Ranges about 275 kilometres (171 mi) north of the state capital of Adelaide and about 32 kilometres (20 mi) north-east of the municipal seat of Orroroo
