Narrative:De Havilland DH.82A Tiger Moth MSN 82337 (Gipsy Major #82065); Taken on charge as N9242 at 6 MU RAF Brize Norton, Carterton, Oxfordshire 16.9.39. To 224 Squadron 5.11.39 and operated by 2 Coastal Patrol Flight, RAF Abbotsinch, Ayrshire. To 46 MU RAF Lossiemouth, Morayshire 23.7.40. To Torpedo Training Unit, RAF Abbotsinch, Ayrshire 30.3.41.
Written off (damaged beyond repair) when Spun into reservoir near Caplaw Dam, 6 miles South West of Abbotsinch 21.4.41. Pilot - Pilot Officer P C Pullen - injured. To Southern Aircraft, Gatwick for repairs 26.4.41 but not repaired; deemed "damaged beyond economic repair" and struck off charge 27.7.41 as FACE (Flying Accident Cat.E)
