Narrative:United Airlines flight UA134, a Boeing 767-322ER, suffered an engine failure while en route over the Atlantic Ocean.
Flight tracking data shows the aircraft starting a descent from FL370 at 08:00 UTC. The descent was briefly stopped at FL250 and FL200. About 09:00 the flight decleared an emergency and initiated a diversion to Shannon, Ireland, where it landed safely at 09:39 UTC.
Preliminiary information suggests on or more fan blades from the no.2 engine had separated and debris may have struck right wing elevator.
The incident aircraft was ferried to Washington (IAD) on April 7 and resumed service on April 11.
