Narrative:
Flew into a hillside near North Barrule, Isle of Man, 1,480 feet above sea level while in cloud. According to a contemporary newspaper report ("The Times, Tuesday, February 21 1961"):

"SIX KILLED IN RAF ANSON CRASH INTO MOUNTAIN
FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT
RAMSEY, ISLE OF MAN, FEB 20
Six lives were lost when a Royal Air Force Anson aircraft crashed into North Barrule mountain in fog in the Isle of Man today. The aircraft was bound from Wyton, Huntingdonshire, to Jurby, Isle of Man.

The aircraft was carrying a pilot and navigator and four others. The six bodies were brought to Ramsey. The point where the wreckage was found was about 300 ft from the mountain top, which is about 2000 ft high.

The six killed were Wing Commander J.L. Aron, Brampton, Huntingdonshire; Squadron Leader C. Heseltine, Brampton; Flight Lieutenant H.D. Furness, Bedford; Flight Lieutenant B.H. Miller, Huntingdon; Master Technician E.N. Robinson, Brampton; and Flight Sergeant R.J. Bridgeman, Cambridge."

Note that the "Times" press report differs from the reports published on line by the next of kin of Flt Sgt Bridgeman, which states that the aircraft was en-route to RAF Aldergrove, Belfast (see link #7). It is possible that VL312 was diverted to RAF Jurby due to adverse weather conditions (fog) and/or a refuelling stop.
