Narrative:During the takeoff roll, the pilot allowed the aircraft to come near the left edge of the 75-foot wide runway. Although he initially reduced power, he reapplied the power and attempted to continue the takeoff. During his attempts to bring the aircraft back near the centerline, he lost control of the aircraft, which departed the right side of the runway and impacted a ditch.
Probable Cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control during the takeoff roll. Factors include a ditch near the side of the runway.
