Narrative:
On 27 January 2023, a Sukhoi Su-25 attack aircraft of the 299th Tactical Aviation Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Force was shot down in the vicinity of Shabelkivka, Kramatorsk Raion, Donetsk Oblast. Locals reportedly spotted the aircraft in the vicinity of the town at approximately 15:00 local time. Due to the low altitude of the flight, the pilot, Danylo Murashko, was unable to eject and passed away. Russian military think tank Rybar hypothesises that the aircraft was downed using an R-37 (AA-13 Axehead) air to air missile fired from a Sukhoi Su-35 air superiority fighter. Murashko was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine.
