Narrative:
This Spitfire broke up in a steep dive during combat with Bf109s.
The pilot, P/O RL Spurdle ( from New Zealand ) baled out and landed unhurt.
The plane was destroyed in the incident, and Struck off Charge ( written off the books ) on 31/1/1941.
