Narrative:
A Robinson R44 Raven II crashed into forest amid dense fog during a positioning flight from Shaanxi Danfeng Airfield to Xi'an Hangtian Airfield. One pilot died in the accident, whereas the other pilot and the passenger survived.

The crew members of the Robinson R44 were under psychological pressure to reach Xi'an Hangtian Airfield before its closure on 18:29, so they kept flying on the planned route despite VFR flight into IMC. Without external reference, they lost control and the helicopter struck terrain. Following the impact, the helicopter's ELT did not activate; the surviving passenger notified emergency service of the crash with his smart phone.
