PILOT OVERSHOT FIRST ATTEMT TO LAND ON ICE CAP. SECOND ATTEMPT WAS A FLAT APPROACH AND HELICOPTER LANDED SHORT, BOUNCED, SEVERED TAIL BOOM AND ROLLED OVER. HELICOPTER WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES.
