Un hélicoptère Robinson R-44 II de propriété privée qui effectuait un vol selon les règles de vol à vue (VFR) s'est écrasé sur le lac des Deux-Montagnes. Les trois occupants ont été blessés et transportés à l'hôpital., 2008-01-10 - Update #1: The TSB occurrence number and class of investigation were added. According to TSB report #A08Q0001: The privately-owned Robinson 44-II helicopter was flying low over Lac des Deux-Montagnes, with the pilot and two passengers on board. At approximately 2100Z, the aircraft hit the frozen surface of the lake. The helicopter sustained major damages and the three occupants suffered serious injuries. Weather observation at Montréal/Trudeau (CYUL) airport at 2100Z: wind 240 degrees true at 13 knots, visibility 15 miles, scattered clouds at 2 500 feet, covered ceiling at 4 800 feet, temperature -3° C, dewpoint -6° C, altimeter setting 30.27 inches of mercury. **** *** **** Mise à jour #1 : Le numéro et la classe d'enquête du BST ont été ajoutés. Vers 2100Z, l'appareil a percuté la surface gelée du lac. L'hélicoptère a été fortement endommagé et les trois occupants ont subi des blessures graves. L'observation météorologique à l'aéroport Montréal/Trudeau (CYUL) de 2100Z était vent du 240 degrés vrai à 13 n?uds, visibilité de 15 milles, quelques nuages à 2500 pieds, plafond couvert à 4800 pieds, température -3°C, point de rosée -6°C et calage altimétrique de 30,27 pouces de mercure.
