Narrative:
A Schleicher ASW 24 glider crashed during an aerotow takeoff at Dunstable Downs Airfield, Bedfordshire.
According to Bedfordshire Police, a man in his 40s was declared dead at the scene. The current cause of the crash is unknown, however it was seen by witnesses to become disconnected from the tow aircraft at low level and then begin a climbing turn to the left. It was then seen to 'flip' to the left before coming to rest at the accident site.
