Narrative:On 22 June 1939 during a Combat Mission, I-16 of 22 IAP was shot down in Air Combat with JAAF fighters near Tamsag Bulag, Khalkhin Gol Area.
Commander of 22 IAP, Major Nikolay Georgiyevich Glazykin was killed. He was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union on 29 August 1939.
