According to a few sources the helicopter suffered some damage during an air attack by the LTTE to SLAF Base Katunayake.

The airframe was later reregistered as SUH-4109 and then again as SUH-540 some time afterwards. It is currently at the Aircraft Engineering Wing at Katunayake.
