Narrative:DJI Matrice M30T UAV: Substantially damaged 23.10.2023 when collided with overhead HT cable during a night take off at Colwyn Bay, Conway, Clywd, Wales. The incident was the subject of an AAIB Correspondence Only Report dated 11.1.2024, and the following is the summary from the report:
"A few seconds after takeoff at night the UAV struck some overhead cables and fell to the ground. The remote pilot was under time pressure to take off and omitted the visual check for obstacles using a torch as per the operator’s procedures."
