A Mil Mi-8T helicopter, RA-24467, rolled over on its left side during an emergency landing following a loss of power in one of the two engines as a result of icing.
Preliminarily, a 40-year-old flight mechanic was killed, the aircraft commander is in serious condition, and the co-pilot is in moderate condition. Two of the 17 rotation workers are also in serious condition.
The helicopter was flying shift workers from the Sopka Kvartsevaya mine to Omsukchan Airport.
