THE PILOT STATED DURING THE TAKEOFF ROLL THE AIRPLANE STRUCK A TREE STUMP ON THE GRAVEL BAR.

Probable Cause: THE PILOT'S INADEQUATE PREFLIGHT PREPARATION AND FAILURE TO IDENTIFY SUITABLE TERRAIN FOR TAKEOFF.
