Probable Cause: FAILURE OF THE NOSE GEAR EXTENSION ASSEMBLY AND THE PILOT'S IMPROPER PRECAUTIONARY LANDING PROCEDURES THAT INCLUDED SECURING THE ENGINES PRIOR TO A POINT WHERE A SAFE LANDING WAS ASSURED.
