Narrative:THE STUDENT PILOT REPORTED THAT DURING PREFLIGHT INSPECTION, HE DID NOT REPLACE THE OIL CAP AFTER HE CHECKED THE OIL. SUBSEQUENTLY, OIL WAS VENTED OVERBOARD DURING FLIGHT & THE ENGINE LOST POWER. THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED DURING A FORCED LANDING.
