WHILE PRACTICING POWER OFF LANDINGS DOWNWIND THE FLIGHT ENCOUNTERED A GUST AT WHICH TIME THE PILOT LOST CONTROL. THE AIRCRAFT DESCENDED RAPIDLY STRIKING THE GROUND AND THEN CARTWHEELING.
